A good number of members came along for our meeting at the Golden Lion on 24 August, more than at first expected, as the photo shows! In the absence of President Nick, the meeting was taken by Past President Paul Russell.
We were pleased to welcome four visitors: Guy Woods and Sue Henstridge (prospective members) and Debra Hood, who lives near Winchester, with her sister Nichola West.
Nichola is secretary of Norwich Rotary Club and told us about the club in general – and in particular the Norfolk Rotary coastal walk for End Polio Now, along a section of the King Charles III coastal path.
Rotary clubs in Norfolk organised a sponsored walk along the path on 16 August. Nichola and Debbie had walked a 22 mile stretch and about £10,000 was raised.
A very pleasant evening indeed!
