“Curtains for Someone” – A Murder Mystery Treat

Once again Winchester Rotary and their guests were treated to a Theatrical masterpiece on 28 April in Twyford Village Hall thanks to the writing and production of Ronni Davis and her band of now-famous Geriactors who perform regularly in aid of local charities for no charge.

Almost 50 people made up a very lively and intrigued audience participating and asking questions to enable them to solve the mystery as the actors moved amongst them. During the evening food was served to feed the brains to help the audience in their endeavours. The main course was provided at a charitable discount by Perrins Catering and the desserts were homemade by some lovely volunteers who know who they are!!

In the end, only one team identified the murderer but they were amply rewarded with four bottles of wine and the rest of us tried our hand at the quiz left on the tables which was kindly prepared by the Geriactors.

A total of £800 from the ticket sales and the raffle was raised for Deborah’s charities – Trinity Women’s Services and One Small Thing at Hope Street as well as a good time being had by all. Thanks go Ronni and her team as well as the willing volunteers in the kitchen!
