On Saturday 16 November, a very successful quiz evening raised over £1100 for Winchester Street Reach – our club charity this year. 10 teams took part in a very enjoyable event. We are very grateful to our question masters Sally and Max Hake for their expertise and to all our guests. Local quiz masters “Quidditch” were the winners!
The mastermind behind the event was Nick Bell – he had encouraged members to bring along friends and family – and consequently there was a good number of teams. As well as the triumphant winners (all visitors) we applaud the “Dumb Belles” of Olivers Battery WI who assure us they had a great time….!
We are grateful too to Weeke Community Centre, who provided the location at no cost and to the caterers who provided a splendid buffet.
