Tennessee Trophy Presentation

Winchester Rotary’s few golfers have just the one knock-out competition they play each year for the Tennessee Trophy. There were eight of us in the draw for 2022, six of us played our matches, thank you Dominic Hiscock, Justin Adgar and Gavin Hunter, as to stalwarts Richard Spalding and Giles Peck.  The latter played their closely contested final earlier this month, with Giles retaining the trophy, which was presented to him by President Deborah at last Monday’s joint meeting with Inner Wheel, as in the photograph.

The trophy was originally presented back in 1986 in commemoration of the hospitality four members from the then Winchester club received from Rotarians in Tennessee when over there for the world conference at Dallas. Since then it has been completed in all but one year, and it has been won by 13 different members over the past 37 years.

I will be contacting all golfers, including very occasional golfers, in May in preparation for doing and circulating the draw in early June for this year’s competition.
