The Environment team on tour

In the interests of efficiency and doing things a bit differently, the environment team decided to combine its latest team meeting with lunch and a working session in the community garden at Unit 12 in Winnall, which we’d done the original groundworks for in 2024.

The team, unfortunately without Mike Billington and Richard Spalding for the day, but now joined by Shelagh Bird, was very pleased with the overall state of the garden. A credit to the volunteers who look after it, but there was still a good couple of hours work for 8 of us to get stuck into, plus Nick joined us with impeccable timing at the end!

Despite the current weather conditions, the garden is in good health and thanks to the team’s efforts, now looking nice and tidy.

The team was made up of: Dave Stewart (Team Lead), Peter Dingley, Dominic Hiscock, Caroline Rubin, Clive Cook, Shelagh Bird, Paul Russell, Nick Bell and Mark Butcher.

Photos from the day.

Finally, a note of caution. Mark now has his own scythe, so best to keep on his good side!
