Our speaker will be Ms Elizabeth Stone, the new Headmaster of Winchester College.
Ms Stone’s talk will be on ‘Building resilience in young people in today’s digital world’.
Ms Elizabeth Stone succeeded Dr Tim Hands as Head of Winchester College. Ms Stone enjoyed notable successes in her previous eight years as Principal of Queenwood School, Sydney, a leading independent girls’ school with 900 pupils. She brought a wide range of previous experience from both co-educational and single-sex, day and boarding schools in Australia and the UK. She was Vice Principal of Cheltenham Ladies College from 2012-14 and, immediately before this, she spent three years at Winchester, as a maths teacher and Undermaster.
Winchester College now welcomes girls as day pupils to the Sixth Form. They are looking forward to welcoming girls as Sixth Form boarders in two new purpose-built boarding houses from September 2026.

I received an invite from Mike Court as this is to be my formal acceptance into the club. I accepted via the email so didn’t book direct. Looking at the attendee list my name is not there so I think my acceptance has fallen between the cracks – possible as Paul is in Uganda.
Hopefully there is still room for me – if so menu choices are sea bass and fruit salad.
Hi Peter, sorry about that. Once an event has past its bookings closure date and time, members cannot add further guests to the list via the website. Even I with admin authority haven’t yet been able to find a way to add more attendees to the list that gets displayed. As a result, I assume that Mike has just handled this by passing on your details to our dinner coordinators: Dave Stewart and Nick Bell. I’ll ping them to confirm.
