Christmas Dinner – Come and celebrate the end of a fantastic 2025 at our fabulous Christmas dinner with excellent company and fun entertainment. And do bring your partners. We are looking for a minimum of 40 but space for 60.
Bookings: Registration is open.
Cost: £39. This will include: welcome drink, Xmas novelties/crackers, 2-course menu, mince pies, tea & coffee, payment for the DJ/music. We have also negotiated a slight reduction on the price of wine.
Dress code: Smart casual as a minimum, but please feel free to dress up, or christmassy as you feel fit.

Timings:
7pm for 7.30pm: welcome drink
7.30pm: take seats plus welcome by President Mark
7.45pm; first course served
8.45pm: break & tables cleared
9pm: entertainment (DJ/music/dancing)

Menu Options:
Main Courses:
- Roast turkey with stuffing, pigs in blanket, roast potatoes and gravy (gf/df)
- Braised beef, green beans, potatoes au gratin with mushroom and thyme jus (gf/df)
- Four cheese tortellini with cress and hard cheese shavings
- Sweet potato and cumin wellington
All main courses are served with carrots, parsnips and broccoli
Desserts:
- Vanilla cheesecake with berry coulis
- Christmas pudding with brandy sauce (gf/df)
- Fruit salad with clotted cream (gf/df)
Followed by mince pies, tea and coffee
All dishes are prepared in an environment that contains allergens, whilst every care is taken in the preparation of your meal, the Wessex Hotel cannot guarantee dishes are 100% allergen free.

When you’re making a booking, the very first field is called “Spaces”. If you set that to 2, it automatically creates two sets of fields below, so that you can enter details for two people. I think it will let you add in up to 20 people in a single booking.
