4th Monday of the month – Social meeting and chat with Deryck Newland – Honorary Member and CIO of Play to the Crowd

Event details

Deryck Newland, one of our Honorary Members,  is the CIO of Play to the Crowd and he will be chatting to us about his organisation which is responsible for the Theatre Royal, Playmakers and the Hat Fair. The Theatre Royal has just been made a Theatre of Sanctuary in recognition of its help to refugees etc.

Deryck will talk to us for a few minutes starting at about 7.30 to stimulate a discussion and answer questions about his personal role, the role of theatre for special groups of people, funding issues, inclusivity and so forth. It promises to be a fascinating session.

Food (ranging panini to a full meal) can be ordered from the bar on arrival to be eaten at the start of the evening if required. See hotel website for menu.
