Winchester Rotary assisted with the launch the Winchester Goalball Club in 2011 and since then have been continuing to sponsor them. After their launch they expanded quickly and were immensely proud that two of their players were selected for GB Paralympic team. A group of Rotarians went up to the Olympic Stadium to support them.
On Saturday March 23rd President Les will be presenting a cheque to assist with costs of the team and their coach travelling to the European Goalball Event in Malmo Sweden where they have previously been successful.
They train all day on Saturdays so you are welcome any time during the day, but the presentation by President Les will be at 12.30 pm. Use the Owen’s Road entrance.
