Building upon our initial support for the Littleton & Harestock show last year, where Derek O’Neill and prospective member Samir Chekini helped out alongside then President, Mark Butcher.
This year, the organisers have invited us to run the Skittles stall. They have given us the chance to set up our own gazebo and share information about what we do.
We therefore need volunteers to:
- Set things up between 11:00am and 12:00pm.
- Man the skittles stall and our Gazebo (Say 2 people on each) between 12:00pm and 5:00pm.
- Clear-up between 5:00pm and 6:00pm
If you’re able to help, please indicate when booking which sessions you’re able to make and what role(s) you’re willing to play. By volunteering, you’re free to enjoy the rest of the show without having to pay the entry fee.
The show is a great deal of fun, and if you like that kind of thing, King Alfred’s Buses run a circular route between Littleton, Teg Down and Haretsock completely free. You can catch it at various locations, including outside the March Hare pub in Harestock. You can even participate in the traditional village show competitions in the marquee.

I don’t seem to be able to book in. I am making myself available for all of the sessions to “fill in” where necessary. If anyone else can officially register me that would be great!!

I have booked the 13.40 to 15.20 slot but seem to be the only one at present!
Hi Mike, Just checking as I think you may have hit the random issue we have with bookings at the moment:
1/ Are you only available for the 12:40 to 15:20 slot?
2/ What role(s) are you able to help with? Skittles and / or the Rotary gazebo.

I have booked 13.40-15.20 to help in the Rotary gazebo which I believe is shortest of help. However, I will try and get there a bit earlier, though am tied up with Royal British Legion till about 12.30. I can also be a bit flexible when there if needed elsewhere.
Prospective member Tracey Done and her husband Anthony are also coming along to help.
