Event details
PPP is a fun, family-friendly event open to all abilities, organised by Winchester Round Table and featuring:
- A 20km bike ride
- A 5km run
- A 2km kayak
For more details, see here.
Participants can use any bike, and we provide all kayaks. The event is centred around a race village on Palmer’s Field with food, drinks, an ice cream van and a children’s fun race, making it a great morning out for families and supporters alike. You can enter either as an individual, or a team of 3 with one person taking each leg of the race.
Importantly, participants can also choose to raise sponsorship for their own charities and use this event as their challenge.
If you want to take part, please click on the “Book now!” button.
Additionally, we’re looking for volunteers on the day.
If anyone could spare a few hours, it would make a huge difference. Volunteers are needed from approximately 8:30am–12:30pm to help with:
- Guiding participants on the cycle, paddle, and run routes
- Helping in the family activity area
- Supporting event logistics and water stations
You are permitted to express your preference as follows, but this cannot be guaranteed:
- Wherever you need me
- Site (Event management i.e. registration and helping visitors)
- Pedal Section – Bike
- Paddle Section – Kayak
- Pace Section – Run
- Direct me as needed when I arrive
- Other (Please specify)
To volunteer, please click on the “Volunteer now!” button, which will take you to a form, which will allow you to specify your preference. It will go directly to the Round Table team. If you do this, please let me know, so that I can record how many volunteers we have contributed. Round Table have said that they may be in a position to provide a financial donation to a local cause of our choice, if we’re able to provide enough volunteers for the day.
