World Polio Day is on 24 October – and the Rotary International “End Polio Now” campaign remains its greatest project. In the UK and Ireland, planting purple crocuses has become a major awareness-raising activity. We have again received permission from the City Council to plant more around King Alfred – and also in Abbey Gardens.
We will assemble at the statue at 10am – please come prepared!
Though I am around, unfortunately this clashes with me selling poppies in Kings Worthy for RBL. Hope it goes well.
I’ll bring a flag.
